TOWN OF MOUNT WASHINGTON PLANNING BOARD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Mount Washington Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing Wednesday, September 18, 2024, pursuant to the provision of MGL 40A, s.5 at the Town Hall, 2 Plantain Pond Road at 6:00pm to consider the application of Lise Gottwald at 368 West Street for a structural addition to the main dwelling. A special permit is required in accordance with zoning bylaw 215.4-G.5 (a2), Nonconforming Uses, Lots and Structures. The application may be viewed at the Town Hall during the Town Secretary’s office hours. Any person wishing to be heard on this matter should appear at the public hearing.

Please note there is NO access for days not listed.

 **ABSOLUTELY NOCONTRACTOR BAGS – Everything needs to be put in WITHOUT bags!**

What Can Go In:

  • Broken furniture – if it is usable, DONATE IT!
  • Dry latex paint (no lids)– again, if it is useable, DONATE IT!
  • Small project demolition – NOT A CONTRACTOR OR HANDYMAN JOB
  • Plastic garden furniture, pots and decorative items — If not broken, DONATE IT!
  • Plastic waste bins
  • Bicycles, skis and other sports equipment that cannot be used – if it is useable, DONATE IT!
  • Pool Toys
  • Satellite Dishes and Poles

What Cannot Go In:

  • Mattresses, Box Springs
  • Fabric, Used Clothing
  • Electronics – TVs, Computers, Screens, Phones, etc. Check with Recyclopedia° for recycling information
  • Tires
  • Oil-based Paints (dry or not)
  • Aerosol Cans
  • Automotive Products
  • Motorized vehicles – lawnmowers, jet skis, scooters, etc.
  • Batteries
  • Air Conditioners (Lenox Valley will take these and process them)
  • Refrigerators and freezers, Dehumidifiers (Lenox Valley will take these and process them)
  • White Goods – washers, dryers
  • Fluorescent Bulbs or other Mercury-based items (thermostats, thermometers, etc.)

Large metal items may be taken to Carman Barbado & Sons in Hillsdale.  (518 325-3331) or Lenox Valley WTF (413 637-1101)
