Per www.getvaccinatedberkshires.org, first-dose COVID vaccine appointments for the three main sites in Berkshire County will be released at 4:00pm Tuesday, March 2nd. Have your computers on and get in the virtual waiting room before so you will be ready when the appointments drop at 4:00!  (PS remember to not use Internet Explorer!)

PROPOSED ZONING BYLAW
PUBLIC HEARING

The Planning Board is holding a PUBLIC HEARING to present a reorganized, updated, and recodified Zoning Bylaw Proposal 1-21-21, which can be found in the Governance Section of the Town website under both the Clerk and Planning Board sections.

The Planning Board objectives were to:

• Make the Bylaw compliant with Massachusetts State Laws
• Make the Bylaw compliant with Code of Massachusetts Regulations
• Consider Massachusetts Areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC), two of which are in Mount Washington
• Integrate all amendments passed since 1989 into one recodified Bylaw
• Protect nonconforming lots and structures
• Consider amendments proposed over the past 3+ years
• Consider feedback received during more than 40 Planning Board meetings
• Consider input received during a Town Public meeting when addressing farming
• Reduce the need for Special Permits
• Reduce the cost for applicants and to the Town
• Input or correct all references and citations
• Include annotations for easy reference when reading the Bylaw Proposal
